AI Disclosure

Métier includes AI-assisted features designed to save you time. This page explains what those features do, what data they use, where your judgment matters, and how your data is handled. It complements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between this Disclosure and the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service govern.

1. What the AI features are

• Pre-visit briefings — a short written read on an account before you visit, based on its history with you.
• Message drafting — draft replies and follow-up emails in your voice, which you review before sending.
• Reply extraction — when a customer emails you, the AI suggests structured items (a meeting, a quote change, a new contact) for you to confirm with a tap.
• Scan extraction — when you photograph a handwritten order pad, memo, or quote, the AI proposes line items and a document type for you to confirm.

2. How it works

When you use one of these features, the relevant information for that task, for example an account's visit history or the text of a customer's email, is sent to our AI subprocessor through its secure API. The subprocessor generates the output and returns it to Métier, where it is shown to you. Factual details such as account metrics and your calendar availability are computed by Métier itself and provided to the AI, so scheduling suggestions reflect your real availability.

3. Our AI subprocessors

We currently use Anthropic (Claude API) as our AI subprocessor for the features above. We may add or change AI subprocessors over time. Our current list of subprocessors, including AI subprocessors, is maintained in our Privacy Policy. We will update that list and post a new effective date on this page before a material change takes effect. Continued use of the AI features after the update means you accept the change.

4. How your data is handled

• Data sent to the AI is used to generate the output you requested and to return it to Métier.
• Under our API agreement with Anthropic, your inputs and outputs are not used to train Anthropic's models. If we add another AI subprocessor, we will only do so under terms that provide equivalent protection against model training on your data, or we will notify you before enabling that subprocessor.
• We do not sell your data and we do not use your Customer Data to train any models.
• Google Workspace API data is not used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.
• Handling of personal data in AI inputs and outputs is governed by our Privacy Policy. Business customers with a regulated data-processing need can request a Data Processing Addendum by emailing info@brilliancedirect.com; the DPA covers international data transfers, subprocessor obligations, and data subject rights.

5. Data you should not enter

Métier is a CRM for wholesale sales activity. Do not enter the following into any AI-processed field (including account notes, email drafts, or photos submitted for scan extraction):

• Payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or full financial account credentials.
• Government identification numbers such as Social Security numbers, passport numbers, or driver's license numbers.
• Health, medical, or biometric information, or any information subject to HIPAA.
• Information about children under 13, or information subject to sector-specific rules (financial, legal, healthcare) that require special handling.
• Login credentials or other secrets.

You remain responsible for the content you and your team enter into Métier and for obtaining any consents required from the individuals whose data you process.

6. Your judgment stays in the loop

AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or off-tone. Every AI feature in Métier is assistive and reviewable: briefings are suggestions, drafts wait for your approval before sending, and extracted items require your confirmation before anything is saved. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it, sending it to a customer, or acting on it.

7. No warranties on AI output

The AI features are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, reliability, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI output is not professional advice (legal, tax, financial, appraisal, or otherwise). You are solely responsible for any decision you make or any message you send based on AI output, and for any consequences of that decision or message. This section supplements, and does not limit, the disclaimers and limitation of liability in our Terms of Service, which apply to the AI features in full.

8. Usage limits and acceptable use

Paid plans include AI actions subject to fair use and the acceptable-use rules in our Terms of Service. You may not use the AI features to generate content that is deceptive, unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing, or to attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or evade our safety measures. We may throttle, suspend, or terminate access to the AI features if we detect use that violates the Terms of Service or that risks the stability of the service for others.

9. Opt-out

Workspace owners can turn off AI features for the whole workspace in Settings → AI. With AI turned off, Métier still works: briefings show your own last-visit notes instead of a generated read, drafts start blank, and photo scans are stored without extraction.

10. Changes

We may update this Disclosure as our AI features, subprocessors, or terms change. We will post the updated version with a new effective date, and for material changes we will notify workspace owners by email before the change takes effect.
